WATCH: Final Fantasy XV Version 1.20 Now Available – Play As Gladio, Ignis, And Prompto in Story Mode

Final Fantasy XV Version 1.20

With the imminent arrival of the Episode Ignis DLC coming to Final Fantasy XV, all four members of our favorite Eos boy band will have had their chance in the gameplay spotlight between the main storyline of FFXV and the three pieces of episodic DLC that has incrementally released ever since the game launched back in late 2016. Previously called the Anniversary UpdateFinal Fantasy XV version 1.20 is now available for download, and it brings the much anticipated character swap feature to the main campaign of the game. With the character swap feature, players are able to almost seamlessly alternate between Noctis, Gladio, Ignis, and Prompto while in combat, with each of the prince’s friends’ gameplay mirroring that found in their respective DLC episodes. Check out the video below, which shows off the new character swap feature:

The character swap feature isn’t the only new addition to Final Fantasy XV version 1.20. Also arriving in the update is the compatibility of the Episode Ignis DLC, which arrives on December 13, 2017. Additionally, new music tracks from the Final Fantasy XV: Comrades multiplayer expansion and Episode Ignis have also been added to the music player tracklist.
