Fallout 76 Reception Was "Deserved," Says Todd Howard In Extensive New Interview

Since the launch of Fallout 76 last year, the game has had plenty of ups and downs. From community outrage to Todd Howard himself admitting to the “deserved” tough love they’ve received from fans. Despite the odds stacked against them, it looks like the developers are determined to bring a constant influx of content to players and make improvements. Alongside their recently released battle royale mode, Nuclear Winter, it looks like Bethesda has plenty more in store.

Bethesda and company have tons of content heading to Fallout 76 in the coming months. In addition to the positively received beta of their new game mode, there will be another seasonal event, vault raids, another Nuclear Winter map, and more. Check out the list of updates arriving throughout August and September:

For an annotated list of the changes and additions coming to Fallout 76, check out the list below! Additional details will likely surface after Bethesda and company have cleaned up and settled the aftermath of QuakeCon 2019. It’s been one hell of a ride for DOOM this year, that’s for certain! For now, here’s all the good stuff for Fallout 76:

New Event

  • A new seasonal event to celebrate the heat of Summer with everyone’s favorite Super Mutant, Grahm, and his best pal, Chally the Moo-Moo. Play and earn Legendary Scrip and other Summer-themed items.

New Four-Player Vault Raids

  • August 20th: Vault 94 Mission 1-3 Rotation. Explore a new vault and uncover Vault-tec’s experiment to see what happens when a society’s ideals become reality. Earn unique social rewards and armor recipes with a legendary set bonus, and play a different mission in rotation each week.

New Nuclear Winter Feature

  • August 13 – Choose Your Perks! Duplicate perk cards award Overseer Tickets allowing you to unlock perks of your choosing.

New C.A.M.P. Items

  • August 20 – Display Cases Release. Show off your hard-earned loot with new display cases for your C.A.M.P.

New Map & Improvements

  • September – Nuclear Winter New Map and QOL Improvements. New storms are brewing over Appalachia! Return to face-off with your fellow Dwellers in an all-new map.

New Improvements

  • September – Events System Improvements. Updates based on community feedback to reclassify favorite multiplayer events as Public Events, featuring new performance-based reward rules, free fast travel to event locations, more informative event previews on the map, and more.

New Purveyor Offerings

  • September – Save your scrip with new discounts and offerings from the Purveyor, with a unique deal offered through each weekend.
