Fallout 76 Has Some Incredible Lore Videos, Including Moth Man (VIDEO)
Fallout 76 is said to be scary and different, lending itself to the more spooky and mysterious elements the franchise has to offer. If these lore videos are anything to go by, the upcoming title will have plenty of frights and terrors to go around.
Called the “Tales from the West Virginia Hills,” the new Fallout 76 lore videos each tell a short story about a terrifying cryptid that may be found within the game such as the Wendigo, Mothman, and the Snallygaster. Each tale plays out as a “holotape series” detailing the strange and mysterious creatures found in the Appalachian wastelands and warns listeners to beware, lest they become the victim of these fearsome monsters.
Beasts and cryptids and frights, oh my! Want to learn about the mystifying Mothman, the sinister Snallygaster, the beastly Wendigo, and other Appalachian Cryptids that appear in #Fallout76?

Each video opens by asking listeners to put aside their ideas of the way the world works and instead open themselves up to the possibility that not all is as it seems. Then the “Tales from the West Virginia Hills” begins to tell a bone chilling tale of the things that lurk in the dark.
Put aside all you think you know, all you believe to be true. Time to open your mind to the strange, bizarre and sometimes terrifying world that exists in the shadows and fringes of our own. Where myth, legend, and rumor are made real.”
The “Curse of the Wendigo” tells the tale of the dangers of greed. When the voracious appetite for money goes unchecked, the video begs the question of what other appetites might develop.
Sideshow Snallgaster tells the tale of a carnival that has come to the Tyler County Fairgrounds and a extraordinary and frightful attraction that has arrived with it.
Some call it a man, others a beast, and even more call it either a demon or and angel. One thing is for sure, strange happenings occur when “The Mothman Cometh!”
“The Beast of Grafton” takes place in the rural hills near Grafton, where civilians have reported a strange creature lumbering in the woods. One couple in particular learn this all to well when they run into trouble while on a drive in the night.
When a young Pioneer Scout takes a fall in the dark, he finds himself in a predicament. Will he find his way out in “Who Goes There? The Strange Encounter in Flatwoods”?
Fallout 76 will become available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on November 14th, though the “Break-It Early Test Application” is currently available during specific dates and times.
