Fable Fortune Early Access Pushed Back Due to an Error – Still Happening This Month

The fate of Fable may have been sealed with the closure of the studio behind this incredible franchise, but that didn’t stop a collectible card game adaptation from capturing fan excitement to see this series carry on in a different kind of form. Fable Fortune looks to continue this staple in the standard card variety, providing a different experience but with familiar lore. The Fable Fortune early access itself has been delayed, moving from its expected release on July 11th to July 25th due to clerical issues – not a far jump at at least.

The producer for Mediatonic, one of the studios helping to develop Fable Fortune, had this to say about the date change,

Due to an unexpected administration hiccup we are unfortunately unable to launch the Xbox One version of Fable Fortune next week and we’ve made the decision to move the launch date back to July 25th on all platforms.

This is to make sure Fable Fortune releases on PC and Xbox simultaneously, so we can make the most of cross-play between the platforms. Sadly this is an unavoidable slip, however the PC beta is still rolling and we will be giving away more keys over the next few weeks. “

After the Lionhead closure, the fate of Fable took a dramatically negative turn so when a few of the former development team formed Flaming Fowl and teamed up with Mediatonic to create this unique step in the franchise, long-time players were intrigued with their initial response. The team behind this card game will be doling out new keys for the betas to come for Xbox and PC with cross-play being available between the two.
