New E3 2018 Hours Announced To Accommodate Both Industry and Public Guests

E3 2018 Hours

One of the most noticeable factors that made E3 this past year different from previous years was the inclusion of access to the show floor to the general public. In previous years, only those directly involved with the gaming industry were allowed admittance passes into the event. This decision to open admission to the public proved to be a boon for the number of visitors for the event compared to previous years, which might help keep the event in Los Angeles after their current agreement with the LA Convention Center ends in 2019. Now, it appears the public will be allowed in for next year’s event as well, with some added changes made to the E3 2018 hours of operation.

A leaked registration page was posted to ResetEra, and was subsequently reported on ComicBook.com, sharing the changes to the E3 2018 hours of operation. The leak confirmed that E3 would continue this year’s policy of general admission pass availability for E3 2018. However, given the added population this gave the event, some press members at the event expressed some inconvenience experienced because of the increased traffic. As such, new hours have been established to accommodate industry guests.

E3 2018 Hours

E3 Industry Passholders Hours
June 12, 2018 11:00am – 7:00pm
June 13, 2018 9:00am – 7:00pm

Gamer Pass (General Public)
June 12, 2018 2:00pm – 7:00pm
June 13, 2018 12:00pm – 7:00pm

June 14, 2018 9:00am – 6:00pm – Both Industry and Public Guests

E3 2018 will allow industry passholders into the event three hours before the general public passholders on June 12th and 13th. This will give those in the press extra time to conduct interviews and shoot footage of the event before the traffic increases. This certainly seems like a smart compromise, but will it still satisfy both parties? We will have to find out when E3 2018 occurs next June. What do you guys think about the new E3 2018 hours?
