Dying Light 2 Will Contain "Several Games Worth Of Content"

Ever since the reveal of Dying Light 2 during last year’s Xbox Showcase at E3, fans have been looking forward to sinking their teeth into the sequel to original ‘parkour and zombies’ title. While developer Techland has for the most part kept things quiet regarding the new game since the reveal, game producer Kornel Jaskula recently revealed what fans can expect from the overall scope of Dying Light 2, suggesting that there is so much content to look forward to that it will be easy to miss some of it.

Techland’s Kornel Jaskula recently sat down with the folks at GamesRadar, at which point he provided a breakdown of the team’s workload. “It’s almost like we are creating several games worth of content right now,” Jaskula said. “We are designing the game with the foundation that some of the players will miss content and we are okay with that.” Jaskula continued on to talk about how adding this much content will (naturally) improve the title’s replay value. “Thanks to the variety of stories, missions, content and assets, we believe that it will make players want to play the game again and again or try to play with other players in co-op to see their worlds,” he said.

That’s something that we established as a foundation at the very beginning [of development], it’s one of our design goals, and it’s something that we still keep in mind.”

Thankfully it shouldn’t take too long to hear more about Dying Light 2, as new details are expected to surface during Microsoft’s presentation at E3. Dying Light 2 is now in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
