DFTG Games For the Kids (Think of the Children!) With Extra Life November 5th
Extra-life is a way that gamers can combat the negative notions our community faces. It gives us a chance to show that our hobbies, our loves, do not equate to laziness or violence addicts – instead we get to show a side to the community that is often overlooked by the media: our desire to make the world better.
This year Don’t Feed the Gamers (DFTG) is gaming to raise money for children’s hospitals on November 5th for 24 hours straight! Chewy and LiLi, the Co-Owners of DFTG, will be streaming on the official Twitch channel for the site: DontFeedtheGamers and we are getting a little extra help from our amazing staff here. So let’s meet them, shall we?
Chewy and LiLi – Twitch DontFeedtheGamers – Co-Owners/Managing Editors
Chewy and LiLi are both US Navy veterans currently holing up at the DFTG headquarters in Chicago. With a passion for gaming, and LiLi’s unholy obsession with collectibles, they are an unstoppable force in the gaming world.
Jon and Deidre – Twitch JMcAnally20 – Head Editor/Writer
Another kick-ass duo with a burning love for both DeadPool and Overwatch. Jon is currently working as Head Editor for DFTG with his lovely player 2 who is a key writer. They also have enough kids to have their own soccer team. #TeamMcAnally
Hoi – Twitch Hoioi_ – Writer
Hoi is an editorial writer for Don’t Feed the Gamers. Her favorite past-times include: chillin’ in the Fade, collecting novelty items, gaming, and drinking coffee. Otherwise, she just rolls around in coffee beans all day and has an unhealthy obsession for cold weather and jackets.
Eric G. and Charles D. – Twitch AnarkE7 and Charlesvb – Writers and Partners from Pop Filter
Newcomers to YouTube, Charles and Eric set forth on a journey to shed light on all things wonderful. Both are epic members of the DFTG team and continue to enthrall the world with their epic bromance.
We are teaming up with our powers combined to raise money for children’s hospitals all over and doing it the best way we know how! By gaming, of course! You can find our Extra Life campaign for Don’t Feed the Gamers here as well as follow our Twitch to the action. Throughout the day we’ll have members of the team hop on to chat with us on the DFTG Twitch to say hello and pwn at some Overwatch, Left 4 Dead, and Battlefield 1. Game with us!
