Deus Ex: Mankind Divided “A Criminal Past” DLC Revealed – Free VR Experience Available
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be launching next month on February 23rd, and the story DLC has officially been revealed. Square Enix and Eidos Montreal announced A Criminal Past, a prequel to Mankind Divided where players get the chance to experience Adam Jensen’s very first mission for TF29. In this second story DLC, players will dive in deeper to the Deus Ex lore, with characters old and new.
In Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – A Criminal Past, Jensen is transferred deep into a hostile, high-security prison for augmented felons. His mission: track down and retrieve sensitive information from a fellow undercover agent who has gone dark. Success will help the fight against terror around the world, but Jensen will need to confront a darker side to his role before the day is done.
At the same time, they announced that the Deus Ex: Breach and Mankind Divided VR Experience is now available on Steam for free. Compatible devices include the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Powered by the Dawn Engine, players will witness Dubai and Golem City in a “stunning level of detail.”
In addition, the pre-order content for the game will be free, as well. “The Agumented Covert Agent Pack” comes with 3 different outfits, re-skinned pistol and combat rifle, ammunition, weapon upgrades and an assortment of other items. For those of whom will be purchasing the game for PC, a quick update will automatically add the Augment DLC. Console users will need to manually download it via their system’s corresponding store. Preemptively, PC users will also receive a patch once they have downloaded the game. In order to fix minor issues regarding the weapon inventory bar, crash issues, and the Quit Game Option.
