Confirmed! – Deadpool and Cable Will Be Involved in the X-Force Movie
With the release of Logan this week, everyone who is anyone is talking about Marvel’s darker side of film making, and loving it. With the film’s highly successful launch, and the knowledge that Deadpool 2 is well on its way to completion, we’ve been given another tidbit of information about Marvel’s impending movie roster. According to an interview with Deadline, Simon Kinberg sat down to talk about the success of Logan and R-rated comic book movies. During the interview, Kinberg brought up the topic of the upcoming X-Force film and exactly who will be in it. More importantly, which two characters will be involved in the film’s plot.
Yes, Deadpool and Cable will be involved in the X-Force film, and we couldn’t be happier, though it has been discussed for awhile now. It’s exciting to see the crazy kinship between those two characters brought to life on the big screen, though X-Force won’t be the only movie where those two characters team-up. We already know that Deadpool 2 creators have been on the hunt for an actor to portray Cable in the much-anticipated sequel to the Marvel surprise success of last year, so hearing that they will be back together so quickly definitely has our attention!
The great thing working with a property that has been around for decades is that there’s thousands and thousands of rich, compelling stories and characters than we’ll ever have time to tell on screen. We are working hard on New Mutants, Gambit with Channing Tatum, Deadpool 2 and the new X Force movie where Deadpool is alongside Cable and other main characters. We are taking chances and those chances are being rewarded commercially and critically. ~ Simon Kinberg
There’s a lot of content coming our way to theaters in the near future. With Deadpool 2, X-Force, and even Gambit coming to the big screen, we can’t wait to see these grim characters in action. Looks like the way of R-rated comic book films is the new craze we can’t get enough of. Not that we’re complaining in the slightest!
