Cyberpunk 2077: Each Side Quest Feels Like Its Own Story, Says Devs
Fans anticipating the futuristic RPG from CD Projekt RED are likely aware of just how packed to the brim the game will likely be with stuff to do. That said, we’ve been learning an awful lot about Cyberpunk 2077 ever since this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, particularly about the title’s missions.
CDPR was kind enough to discuss some of the game’s aspects with EDGE Magazine, and Cyberpunk 2077 graces the November issue’s cover. With the spotlight on them, there is sure to be plenty of details coming from the developer, as is seen in the Reddit post that provides some of the quotes from said article. One of the topics the developer discussed was side quests, saying, “Any stories, characters or themes that aren’t explored in depth in the main story are taken to be fully fleshed out in side quests.”
“We want to make sure that all of them are up to the standards of the main quest,” they continue, “that there’s nothing that feels like filler, just something to do while waiting for the next quest, or to get more money to buy the next thing. We don’t really like to do that. We want to make sure that every quest feels like a complete story in and of itself.”
With there being that sort of focus on creating side quests, we can only imagine how choices and consequences will play into that. The team explored that recently, and how said consequences in Cyberpunk 2077 won’t exactly be apparent immediately, but they can definitely be lasting. You can read more about that right here.
Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
