Cyberpunk 2077 Will Include Red Dead Redemption 2-Like Visuals

Cyberpunk 2077

We still don’t know when we will be able to get our hands on CD Projekt RED’s upcoming futuristic RPG, but that hasn’t changed hype levels since its announcement years ago. 2018 has been quite the year so far for those anticipating Cyberpunk 2077, with a new trailer, 48-minute gameplay demo, screenshots, and more being released.

Of course, this is in addition to the developers themselves talking about the inbound adventure. Speaking of which, a recent meeting between CDPR and brokerage house Vestor DM revealed that the company is putting a plethora of time into the game, ensuring that its visuals are up to par. What we have seen thus far has been beautiful, but the devs say they have quite the workload ahead of them.

This might have something to do with the latest installment of The Witcher franchise being plagued by bugs at launch. These were remedied with patches later on, but it looks like CDPR is aiming to avoid a similar situation from the start with Cyberpunk 2077. They want it to be polished, not unlike Red Dead Redemption 2, which has seen incredible success since arriving last month.

That said, CD Projekt RED has high expectations for the upcoming Night City-based experience. They believe the title can achieve 19 million units sold in its first quarter. Red Dead Redemption 2 saw over 17 million shipped in just the first eight days, but it is safe to say that each game has created its own type of hype. Either way, we can’t wait to see CDPR’s hard work come to fruition, whenever that may be.

Cyberpunk 2077 remains without a release date, but it is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
