Keanu Reeves, Johnny Silverhand Both Canon In Cyberpunk 2077
When Keanu Reeves made his breathtaking appearance on stage for Cyberpunk 2077, his popularity resurged with news and personal accounts of his altruism and good-natured personality ever since. He’ll be making an appearance as a character named Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077, but that’s not the only cameo he’ll be making. According to a developer, both Keanu Reeves and Johnny Silverhand are technically canon.
Cyberpunk 2077 senior quest designer Patrick K. Mills revealed on Twitter how it’s possible for the two to exist in the game’s universe. To put it simply, they’re not the same person. They do, however, bear a remarkable resemblance to one another.
The KR lyric is lore friendly. It’s an in universe cultural reference to KR, a little known Collapse-era actor who bore and uncanny resemblance to Johnny Silverhand, and in the years following Johnny’s disappearance, was frequently mistaken for JS. ?? https://t.co/AxpPvlww97

Mills said, “The [Keanu Reeves] lyric is lore friendly. It’s an in-universe cultural reference to KR, a little known Collapse-era actor who bore an uncanny resemblance to Johnny Silverhand, and in the years following Johnny’s disappearance, was frequently mistaken for JS.”
This was in response to queries about the lyric in Run The Jewel’s official Cyberpunk 2077 track titled No Save Point, which included a reference to Keanu Reeves. In other words, there’s plenty of KR to love in the highly-anticipated CD Projekt Red game and we can’t wait to get our hands on it next month!
Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to launch on December 10th for PC, Stadia, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
