Civilization VI Now Available On Android

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, the well known and highly popular strategy game is finally getting it’s debut on Android devices. This, of course, has been long awaited since the game was previous released on iOS close to two years ago in October 2018. Civilization VI can be found in the Google Play Store now.

The game offers a free trial, giving players 60 turns of play before offering a $19.99 charge to purchase the full version of the mobile game. The Civilization VI game will also offer additional content that can be purchased after the initial $19.99. They include the Rise and Fall expansion for $29.99 which was the first expansion for this particular installment. It acquainted players with political loyalty and improved the review of the timeline.

More content available for Civilization VI are the Civilization and Scenario packs that will range between $4.99 to $8.99 and the Gathering Storm expansion that can be purchased for $39.99. The Gathering Storm expansion introduced more environmental threats and climate change. There has been no confirmation on whether or not the New Frontier DLC pass will be included which includes new content bi-monthly.

The Android port of Civilization VI was manned by Aspyr media who just so happens to be the same studio that handled the iPhone version, so all of it feels entirely recognizable should you have played it on the iOS.

Civilization VI was initially released on PC and Mac in 2-16, Nintendo Switch in 2018 and the PS4 and Xbox One in 2019. The turn based strategy game has evolved over the course of nearly two decades with the release of Civilization I in 1991. Since then it has successfully created an empire (pun intended) in it’s genre with steady releases of its predecessors. The success of the game has led to a steady increase in players and set the standard for many turn-based strategy games we have now.
