New Cinematic Story Trailer for Madden Longshot Drops at E3 (VIDEO)
E3 is already jumping into the fray with the EA Play Feature. The company revealed a new trailer for Madden Longshot, an NFL game that is loaded with story. Below is the cinematic story trailer that details a dramatic game that is part sports and part RPG.
The trailer puts viewers in the shoes of Devin Wade, former five-star high school quarterback. Wade is a forgotten prospect for the NFL and players will be able to engage in a story mode in which they strive to get their name called on Draft day. This is the first time a Madden game has approached a cinematic story mode in their games.
The game features Academy Award-winning actor Mahershala Ali as Cutter, a great athlete dedicated to Devin (voiced by JR Lemon) and their shared love of Football. Other characters include Colt Cruise, Devins loyal friend, and one of the NFL’s greatest quarterbacks Dan Marino. Players will go from the small town of Mathis, TX to the Gridiron of the NFL. Players will also be able to play off the field, giving them a chance to engage in the actual story.
Longshot is a part of Madden 18 and powered by Frostbite. Players will also be able to enjoy building a dynasty team using Elite players from their favorite NFL teams. 12 Squad Packs and 2500 contracts will also be available in the G.O.A.T. edition available for pre-order now. The game will be available for Xbox One and PS4 for $79.99 ($71.99 for EA Access users).
