The Castlevania TV Adaptation on Netflix Gets its First Poster – All Aboard the Hype Train!

If you’re like me, the Castlevania series was paramount to an abundant flow of memories from back in the day, starting with that first fantastical title back in 1987 (’86, if you were in Japan). When news broke that the beloved franchise would be coming to television, the normal skepticism seemed to be completely forgotten by the influx of fan excitement. If you’re a fan of the original series, then the unveiling of the first poster will get you hyped! Take a look at the first glimpse of the Castlevania TV adaption below:

The above poster centers the focus onto Dracula’s castle, which – for fans of the series – is an instant throwback throughout the history of the franchise. Whether the show’s focus will pull from the former or latter end of the Castlevania spectrum, for a first teaser? That was a smart move – pulls right on the heart strings of long-time fans, yet it is still mystifying to newcomers to the story-line.

If you’ve played the game then you know that Dracula’s castle was a prominent fixture and when he was defeated, so fell his symbol of his renown power. This castle appeared multiple times throughout the series so it will be a nostalgic treat to see it again once more in the Castlevania TV adaptation.

We know that Iron Man’s Warren Ellis will be taking the helm of this project as he writes this welcome adaptation, and he even throughout a few hints about this prior to his announcement in a Nickelodeon podcast last year with the Adventure Time executive producer, which you can hear right here.

What say you? Are you stoked about the television series based on Castlevania or was this a franchise that never quite caught your fancy? Join in on the conversation in the comment section below and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter for gaming and entertainment news live 24/7!
