Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Leaks New Game Mode

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - Blackout

With a host of new players jumping into the battle arena that is Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and its battle royale mode, Blackout, many are having a good time. That said, a new game mode that is inbound for Blackout has leaked, and Treyarch has confirmed its existence.

Taking to Reddit, user carkeys11 posted a screenshot from the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 app showing a description of the upcoming game mode, Ambush. According to the information provided, this mode will only allow players to use sniper rifles and melee attacks. In addition to this, once the circle start closing, it doesn’t stop.

Ambush….Another new Blackout game mode coming this week from r/Blackops4

While it was possible that the leak could have been faked by a fan, Treyarch stepped in to provide confirmation of Ambush. However, according to the developer, it’s not coming to Blackout just yet. The currently available Down But Not Out mode will remain live for a couple more weeks, but Ambush will be arriving “immediately afterward.”

“It’s true, Ambush is coming soon in Blackout as our next limited-time mode in Blackout – just not quite yet!” the developer said. “Down But Not Out will be live for a couple of weeks on each platform, which started on PS4 earlier this week. We’re planning to launch Ambush into the wild immediately afterward, so enjoy the insanity of DBNO while it’s live and let us know what you think of the redeploy system while we put the finishing touches on what’s to come.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. If Down But Not Out’s release is any indication, we can expect to see Ambush arrive on PS4 first, followed by the other two platforms.
