Here’s What Prevents Call of Duty: WWII Early Copies From Being Played

Call of Duty: WWII Early Copies

The release of Call of Duty: WWII is less than a week away, meaning players will be returning to the roots of the franchise in no time. With Nazi zombies back at it again in the popular game mode, gamers are all too anxious to get their hands on what may be the most anticipated CoD title in years. Some have even managed to obtain Call of Duty: WWII early copies, but there is one small hiccup that is preventing them from enjoying the action.

Recently reported by Charlie Intel, a gamer in the Middle East acquired a leaked copy of the highly-anticipated title. However, when they went to play it, one thing stood in the way of their enjoyment – a single patch. While Call of Duty: WWII early copies are being spotted around the globe, Activision hasn’t released the patch that enables the game to be played, even offline. This is likely to prevent any spoilers from being uncovered.

For PlayStation 4 players, however, it looks like a patch of sorts has arrived. Version 1.02 comes in at 9.5 GB of space, but it only allows for the game to be played in offline mode. After all, with the official launch set for the end of this week, there probably wouldn’t be too many players hanging around online lobbies. Zombies mode is also available through the PS4 patch, but that’s about it.

Call of Duty: WWII is slated for a November 3 release date, with the patch that enables the game to be fully played expected to drop at the same time. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming news, check out the following:
