Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition’s Split-Screen Support Is Console-Exclusive

Borderlands: Game of the Year Split-screen

Many Borderlands fans were beyond thrilled with Gearbox Software’s recent showcase at PAX East, especially because it contained the news that everyone has been waiting for – Borderlands 3 is coming. However, it wasn’t all about the next installment, as each of the previous games in the series also received a bit of love, including the first entry and the fact that it is now coming to the current generation of consoles for the first time. That said, it will also have the glorious feature that is split-screen co-op, but there’s a catch – it’s console-exclusive.

After the plethora of announcements dropped during the recent presentation, fans took to Twitter to begin asking all of the unanswered questions, including if the PC version has a FOV slider. As it turns out, all versions of Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition will have a FOV slider. That’s when one person asked about split-screen on PC, only to have their hopes and dreams come crashing down by producer Patrick Fenn.

Understandably, people were not happy about this answer, as many fans have been left wondering why the PC version would be left off the list of versions that support split-screen. Here’s to hoping Gearbox reconsiders at some point in the future.

In the meantime, Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition is set to drop on April 3rd for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
