Borderlands 3 Live Gameplay Reveal Coming May 1st, Sneak Peek At What’s Ahead
The developers over at Gearbox have been building up quite a bit of hype over the last few weeks. A series of hidden codes have been discovered within some images featuring the box art for Borderlands 3 hinted at what players can expect out of the third entry, as well as giving out free Shift Codes. Alongside this intriguing treasure hunt, the latest post reveals that players will have a chance to catch a glimpse into the game itself very soon.
A blog post on the Borderlands 3 website reveals that following Gearbox is planning a “Worldwide Gameplay Reveal” event where fans will finally be able to catch a glimpse into how the game will play out live and listen to the developers as they give out some commentary. Fans will be able to catch this event on the Borderlands website, as well as on Twitch. Leading up to the event there will also be a 30 minute pre-show to foster more hype for the event, including sneak peeks into some of the new characters revealed.
According to Gearbox concerning the image above, “Many interesting Borderlands 3 theories–some of them with decent accuracy ratings–have been floated following frame-by-frame dissections of gameplay trailers over the past couple weeks. A number of you have even set about cracking some hidden codes… But you haven’t found them all yet. We’ll just drop this image here as a hint; maybe give it another look.”
The latest blog post adds, “We’re excited to answer at least some of these questions and lots more during the Borderlands 3 Worldwide Gameplay Reveal event on May 1. The event will feature the first ever showing of Borderlands 3 gameplay, as well as commentary from the Gearbox development team on everything from the new Vault Hunters and their respective skills to interplanetary travel and sweet, sweet loot.
“Shortly after the Gearbox presentation, you’ll be able to watch literally hundreds of your favorite live streamers playing and sharing their impressions of Borderlands 3 for the first time. Whether you’re a longtime Borderlands fan or a newcomer to the franchise, this first look at what’s coming September 13 is a must-see.”
Borderlands 3 is looking to release on September 13th for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The upcoming live stream event is set to premier on May 1st of this year at 12 pm CST.
