Borderlands 3 ESRB Rating Hints At “Pre-Coital Foot Rubs,” Other Suggestive Language
The Borderlands franchise has been rated Mature by the ESRB ever since the very first title released, namely for its largely violent nature depicting blood, gore, dismemberment and more. The franchise has always been pretty loose with some fairly cheeky and graphic language as well. The upcoming Borderlands 3 is no exception, featuring some strong profanity and some pretty interesting sexual phrases.
A recent update to the ESRB Rating for Borderlands 3 has appeared and contains a list of basic things players will be doing in the game. The listing explains that players will be engaging in combat missions across multiple planets both on foot and in vehicles. To do this, players will have access to a large variety of weapons and they can be used to engage their enemies. More importantly, the post confirms that the classic Borderlands flair will be prevalent throughout the title including the dirty, dirty references that players have come to know and love.
The game contains some sexual material, mostly in the dialogue (e.g., “Looks like someone won’t be getting a pre-coital foot rub”; “…I wasn’t always the smokin’ hot six-stroke sex engine I am today”; “I’m talkin’ sex stuff! Two rounds if I’ve got the juice.”). The words “f**k,” “sh*t,” and “a*shole” appear in dialogue.
Borderlands 3 is set to arrive on September 13th of this year for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The title has always had some fairly interesting dialogue and the upcoming sequel appears as though it will continue the tradition.
