Beyond Good & Evil 2 Development “Coming Along Very Well,” Says Ubisoft CEO

Beyond Good & Evil 2

It came as a bit of a surprise earlier this year when Michel Ancel departed both Ubisoft and the games industry, especially when not a lot is known about the current state of development of Beyond Good & Evil 2. That said, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot recently noted that development of the upcoming game is “progressing well.”

Following a recent earnings call, Guillemot took questions on behalf of Ubisoft. Of course, the likes of Beyond Good & Evil 2 popped up considering it’s one of the studio’s more intriguing projects, and one that fans really want to get their hands on. “The world is really fantastic; as you could see, Netflix also decided to take that universe and create a movie with it,” Guillemot said. “So there’s a lot of progress in that team and the game is coming along very well.”

It has been two years since we last saw Beyond Good & Evil 2, and three years since it was re-announced as a prequel to the popular 2003 title. We’ve gotten a tiny bit of information here and there, but nothing substantial since E3 2018. It’s also unknown how the ongoing pandemic comes into play with their plans for the game. After all, during that same earnings call, it was revealed that both Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine have been delayed, so the same might be true for Jade and crew.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 is currently in development with no concrete release date and for unknown platforms. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
