A brand new video for Fox’s newest Marvel series, The Gifted, has been released since the trailer premiered at San Diego Comic Con, and the featurette gives viewers an inside look at the characters that will be playing key roles in the show. The video was posted on their official Twitter account, which can be seen below:

The Gifted is set to premier on October 2nd. 2017 and the cast of stars will include actors such as Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker among several others. Further hype for the upcoming series was brought by show-runner Matt Nix, a creator and writer of the television series Burn Notice. Speaking at San Diego Comic Con, Nix went on to explain that the show will not overlap with the X-Men movies stating:

One of the great favors that Days of Future Past did for all of us is establish there are many streams, so one answer is we exist in one of those streams. The idea is that this is definitely its own universe. We’re not in the same exact timeline as any particular movie or comic, but that said we do share some characters with the movies and comics. The idea is we’re doing our own thing. As they say, there are many streams.”
