Batman: Court Of Owls Game May Be On The Way
A new game from Batman: Arkham Origins developer Warner Bros. Montreal has been all but confirmed as of late, with several pieces of evidence presenting themselves over the last few months. So far, the project is one rumored to be set in the DC universe with a planned release set to happen sometime next year.
With speculation slowly mounting, it now seems we’ve received the biggest tease for the game yet, hinting at a new adventure with Batman and featuring the villainous Court of Owls. This exciting bout of speculation comes from a photo taken by WB Montreal assistant producer Valerie Vezina, depicting her in a t-shirt sporting a very telling insignia.

Comic book fans are sure to recognize the above symbol as one similar to the calling card of the DC organization Court of Owls, a group that has caused Gotham’s Caped Crusader a headache on numerous occasions. In the comics, the shadowy society are depicted as the unseen puppet-masters of Gotham City, often pulling the strings through indirect and violent means. As one might expect, this would present a force formidable enough to even put the Batman through his paces.
This potential plot seems in line with the recent reports as well as a rumored game making the rounds last year called Batman: Arkham Insurgency. The supposed Arkham sequel shared the same antagonists in the Court of Owls as well as an appearance from the the Dark Knight’s evil counterpart Owlman. However as time went on, the unconfirmed title gradually faded into unlikeliness, but it now appears the leak may have actually been onto something.
As with anything unconfirmed, it’s likely best to do what Batman would do in this situation and take this speculation with a pinch of salt. Even with such an enticing story to be had, there’s unfortunately little to confirm a full game based on the group is indeed underway. Of course, that won’t stop fans or even Court of Owls writer Scott Snyder from keeping the dream alive on social media.
