Love in the forgotten realms? Well, that’s a resounding ‘yes’ from Larian Studios. Though the game faced yet another delay, it won’t be much longer until anxious fans will get a glimpse into Baldur’s Gate 3’s early access on Steam. In the meantime, there’s plenty to learn about the upcoming role-playing game, including sex and romance. According to the studio, there’s plenty of it.

In the latest community update titled “Love in the Forgotten Realms,” Larian Studios details the pursuit of romance in Baldur’s Gate 3. And yes, there’s sex. Check out the video below to see the a few developers chat it up by the fire:

Baldur’s Gate 3 features morally complex characters, each with their own goals, distinct personalities, and characteristics that carve out interesting clashes, dynamics, and fireside muses between party members. “Bound by the shared problem of an Illithid tadpole buried in their head, they will join your party but you’ll all have to put your differences aside if you want to survive,” the latest Larian Gazette described. “The exact relationship you have with your companions, already marred by differences, will be shaped by who you are, what you do, who you side with, and what you say in conversation with them.”

Regardless of the romantic interests players pursue and how complex the supporting characters are, the game revolves around the player’s choices and how they react to the world and elements around them. “At the end of the day this remains a D&D game and the most important character in a game of D&D is you,” lead writer Sarah Baylus reassured.
