Assassin’s Creed Rogue HD Rating Confirms Release Date, Solidifies Xbox One/PS4 Port Rumors

Assassin's Creed Rogue

More and more evidence keeps pointing to Assassin’s Creed Rogue coming to this generation. The game was originally released alongside Assassin’s Creed Unity, with Unity for the Xbox One/PlayStation 4, and Rogue for the last generation. The move was a little odd, and definitely disappointing for AC fans. Especially so because the narrative was actually incredibly interesting, providing an entirely new spin on what long-term fans think about the Templars. The events also tied directly into Unity, so to have both titles on the same platform would just make sense. Turns out, that might be a reality soon.

The Korean Game Rating Board has just rated Assassin’s Creed Rogue HD for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with a release date slated for March 15, 2018. This date has even more merit when earlier leaks from an Italian retailer posted images showcasing the same exact time. Looks like the Templar-centric installment is making its way into the new generation. Of course, until there is actual confirmation – take this with a grain of salt. But you have to admit, that’s a lot of evidence.

18th century, North America. Amidst the chaos and violence of the French and Indian War, Shay Patrick Cormac, a fearless young member of the Brotherhood of Assassin’s, undergoes a dark transformation that will forever shape the future of the American colonies. After a dangerous mission gone tragically wrong, Shay turns his back on the Assassins who, in response, attempt to end his life. Cast aside by those he once called brothers, Shay sets out on a mission to wipe out all who turned against him and ultimately become the most feared Assassin hunter in history.

Introducing Assassin’s Creed Rogue, the darkest chapter in the Assassin’s Creed franchise yet. As Shay, you will experience the slow transformation from Assassin to Assassin Hunter. Follow your own creed and set off on an extraordinary journey through New York City, the wild river valley, and far away to the icy cold waters of the North Atlantic in pursuit of your ultimate goal – bringing down the Assassins for good.”
