Ubisoft Announces Extremely Rare Assassin’s Creed Origins Themed Yeezys (VIDEO)
These are for the gaming sneaker heads out there, or the peeps that love a custom-designed shoe as a collectible or fashion statement, but Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed Origins themed Yeezys. Not only are they custom designed kicks coming out to ring in the upcoming release of the game itself, they won’t be easy to get a hold of. In fact, you can’t even buy them as they’ll only be won through contests with the 16 pairs that will be available worldwide. Did we mention they were extremely rare?
Ubisoft teamed up with sneaker artist Dominic Lowman of Carmeno Custom Kicks to bring Assassin’s Creed Origins to life at your feet, and they’re looking simultaneously fresh and sacred. See for yourself at a behind-the-scenes look of making these bad boys:
These aren’t thoughtless or arbitrary designs either. Doing his own fair share of research and utilizing content and themes from the game, Lowman’s collaboration with Ubisoft resulted in this original design. It comes in two colorways – one is an overall off-white color with red accents on the collar, brown/tan designs on the upper, and white laces; the other is a all-black with red laces, and brown/tan custom designs. The collaboration between Lowman and Ubisoft has been an experience for him, especially with the ability to represent a game and a brand on a shoe that may or may not be something of his specialty. Here’s what Lowman had to say with the announcement:
It’s been so cool to work with Ubisoft on designing the Assassin’s Creed Origin’s sneaks. For me, sneaker culture is a perfect representation of popular culture right now and it’s been amazing to merge this with a gaming franchise to create something that is not only wearable, but rich with history and a back story.”
Assassin’s Creed Origins arrives on Friday, October 27th for all major platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Want to get your hands on one of these bad boys?
