Assassin’s Creed Co-Creator Named New Google VP
Well-known for her involvement as co-creator of the first Assassin’s Creed title that began a long-standing and beloved franchise, in addition to being a renown figure in the games industry, Jade Raymond just leveled up! Announcing on social media for fans and friends alike, Raymond officially reveals that she is now the vice president of Google. That’s a magnificent feat and certainly a major change of pace. The newly dubbed V.P. reveals on Twitter:
I’m excited to finally be able to share that I have joined Google as VP!

Raymond began her journey in the video game industry as a programmer for Sony before she worked her way into the abode of Electronic Arts to take part in the development of The Sims Online. From there, she made her way to Ubisoft Montreal to co-create the first Assassin’s Creed game that would later become a legendary property for said company.
Raymond also served as executive producer for the following sequel and other titles such as The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot and Watch Dogs, but her success didn’t stop there. Snowballing her way through the video game industry, Raymond helped Electronic Arts form Motive Studios and was head of Visceral Games studio, which has since closed its doors.
As for her involvement with Google, details are light for the time being. Since the breaking announcement, supporters have been spared the specifics of her position. Is she the vice president of the entirety of Google, or a division? It wouldn’t be far-fetched to believe she may be V.P. of a gaming division within the company. Regardless, hats off an influential figure within the video games industry now moving on to a new circle!
What do you think about this phenomenal upgrade for Raymond? The paces have certainly changed by moving from the video game industry into a giant like Google, who pretty much dabbles in everything.
