Arkham Legacy Reportedly The Title Of The New Batman Game

Batman Arkham Legacy

In September, DFTG covered the possibility of a new Batman game, with the original news coming from sarcastic tweets from the developers at WB Montreal. The publisher has been being very coy about their upcoming Batman game, though now it appears that we may have a legit title on our hands. According to sources on Twitter, the speculative new title will be called Batman: Arkham Legacy. Recently, a leaker on Twitter by the name of Sabi tweeted this:

Why is this important? Usually, leaks about games from people who aren’t developing the game should be taken with a grain of salt. However, Sabi has a reputation for accuracy in his/her predictions. Sabi has also suggested that “legacy” in the title means you could have more playable characters from the Bat-family. Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, and others were playable via DLC in other games of the Arkham franchise.

As mentioned, since this leak did not come from an official source, you shouldn’t go telling your friends you know the title of the new Batman game. Though Batman: Arkham Legacy has a nice ring to it, it could easily just be a working title. Perhaps it’s just something Sabi thought rolled off the tongue.

As of today, WB Montreal has yet to release any official information about the new Batman title they have been seemingly teasing for quite some time now. Unfortunately for all you Arkham fans out there, you’re going to have to wait a little longer.

What do you think of the Batman: Arkham Legacy? Are you a fan of the title? Will the publisher take a left turn and announce a different DC game instead?
