Apex Legends Leak Reveals Solo And Duo Modes Arriving Soon

Battle royale game Apex Legends has had an impressive launch week, racking up over 10 million players within the first few days of its release. With many complimenting Respawn Entertainment’s free-to-play title on it being “battle royale done right,” many others have been wondering why there isn’t a solo or duo mode. Thankfully, it appears that both modes may be coming to the game soon.

The news comes by way of a datamine as revealed by the folks over at @ApexUpdate, who posted the below tweet with an image revealing what appears to be code suggestive of both a “2-man Squads” and a “Solo” mode for the game. Check it out below:

Whether or not this actually is indicative of two new game modes coming to Apex Legends is still questionable, though our guess is that chances are we’ll see an official announcement from Respawn soon. Don’t get us wrong, the idea for a 3-man squad-based game was certainly an inspired one, especially since it stands out amid other battle royale titles that typically allow for a max of four players. Sometimes people just want to run solo, though, so this should cater to those players when the mode is finally release.

Apex Legends is now free-to-play for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
