Animal Crossing: New Horizons Leak Points To Redd’s Return, Museum Upgrades, And More
It’s been a month since Animal Crossing: New Horizons first released, and the game’s passionate user base seems to have no signs of slowing down on their devotion to the game. Social media is still flooded with posts related to Animal Crossing, and special events like a new Earth Day event coming later this month will keep providing new reasons to return to the game. Many have noticed that certain elements from previous Animal Crossing games have not been seen yet in New Horizons. One such exclusion is Crazy Redd, but according to a new Animal Crossing: New Horizons leak, the shady art dealer may be returning.
This means we’ve got to make do with small bits of info, and we can’t tell if they’re work-in-progress features *or* things they scrapped.
Data files are easier to strip out than small sections of code, which is why we don’t have any graphics for these#ACspoilers #ACdatamining

As reported on Prima Games, dataminers have discovered a lot of new information from an Animal Crossing: New Horizons leak after reviewing the game’s code. Perhaps the biggest is the discovery of Crazy Redd’s Black Market returning to the game, abeit in a new form. Instead of Redd bringing his tent full of mostly fake art, the fox will be shilling his wares from a boat. Also discovered in the leak are new Museum upgrades, which will allow for art and other furnishings to be added to each of the three museum wings. It seems that the museum can also have a cafe and shop added as well in the future.
The leak also suggests harvest-able foods will be coming to the game, including potatoes, sugar, carrots, pumpkins, tomatoes and wheat. Also discovered in the code are 6 types of bushes, 33 types of new foods that can be turned into fish bait, plus new cooking and sea diving functions as well. These would all be significant inclusions to be made to the game, and may impact how players go about building their towns in the future. Hopefully Nintendo confirms if/when these features are coming, so we can all brush up on our classic art history and remember that Vermeer’s Girl With a Pearl Earring doesn’t have an orange headband.
