American Horror Story Season 8 To Crossover Two Previous Seasons
Television has largely been considered by many critics to currently be in a “golden age” thanks to the rise of quality original programming on non-traditional networks. One television channel that has been heavily recognized for contributing to this golden age has been FX, thanks to its critically-praised original series like Fargo and Sons of Anarchy. Another such series has been American Horror Story, which has stood out for its focus on suspense and unique format of anthology seasons. Now, FX has confirmed that American Horror Story season 8 will unite characters from two of its most beloved seasons.
American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy took to his official Twitter account today to provide an update on season 8 of the series. According to Murphy, American Horror Story season 8 will indeed premiere this September and it will act as a crossover between the first and third seasons of the show. Each season of the show has consisted of a self-contained storyline independent of the other seasons, but many of the seasons have shared elements and even cast members in completely different roles.

Murphy has previously confirmed that many actors who have appeared in previous seasons of the show will return for the crossover, including mainstays like Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, and Kathy Bates. Other long-absent actors are slated to return too, such as Dylan McDermott, who has not appeared on the show since season 2. While it has not been confirmed what characters these actors will portray, one can expect to see them reprise roles that they have previously played in the show.
This season certainly sounds like it will be exciting for fans who have stuck with the show since it began. Hopefully, the crossover does not extend to other FX series. It would be unfortunate to see the It’s Always Sunny gang taken out by murderous clown. What do you guys think about American Horror Story season 8? Let us know in the comments below!
