Despite the acclaim from reviewers and critics alike, Alan Wake didn’t get nearly the level of recognition it probably deserved. After all, 2010 was a phenomenal year for releases including Mass Effect 2, Red Dead Redemption, and Fallout New Vegas to name a few. Despite that, Remedy Entertainment is more than happy to celebrate the tenth year anniversary of Alan Wake for fans old and new. Check out the announcement below:

To commemorate an entire decade since the release of Alan Wake, the studio announced exciting plans to look back on this accomplishment with pride. “We’ll be celebrating Alan Wake’s 10th anniversary with a stream and other cool studd which you’ll hear more about next week,” Remedy stated on Twitter. “We’re celebrating the past and looking back: we don’t have anything to announce. Thank you, always, for the love.”

Based on that, we may not be getting a new game but there’s plenty of love for Alan Wake to go around. There may be a giveaway for audience members or neat developer commentary on the game’s creation! Who knows, maybe they’re just waiting to reveal a remastered edition? Either way, we can always hope Remedy is lying and a sequel is in the works! In the meantime, we await for the announcement date of the livestream!
