Animal Crossing For Nintendo Switch Still On Track For 2019 Release

Animal Crossing Nintendo Switch

2019 is looking to be another big year for the highly successful Nintendo Switch console. The newest core entries in the Pokemon franchise are coming to the Switch at the end of the year, and many have been clamoring for a new Animal Crossing game to arrive. The game was previously slated for a 2019 release, and now a new report seems to indicate that the Animal Crossing Nintendo Switch game is on track to be in stores this year.

Nintendo recently released on their official website their new earnings report for their fiscal year that ended with March 2019. The report reflected the continued success of the Switch, and gave investors a vision of the near future for the device, including its big upcoming releases. These titles all essentially had been announced before, but one title especially on Nintendo fans’ minds is Animal Crossing for the Switch.

Little to nothing about the game has been disclosed since its initial announcement, but this report does seem to confirm that its planned 2019 release is on track. The undefined 2019 release date is also the same for Luigi’s Mansion 3 and the Link’s Awakening remake.

No specific release day or month is given, but it has been assumed by many that the game would be released in time for the 2019 holiday season. It would have some in-house competition with Pokémon Sword & Shield, but so did last year’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee. Hopefully, should Animal Crossing release at the end of the year, it delivers an experience that satisfies fans and newcomers alike.
