DOOM Devs Immediately Distance Themselves Upon DOOM Annihilation Movie Reveal
The gaming side of the internet was seemingly set ablaze yesterday with the reveal of DOOM: Annihilation, the direct-to-video movie that is apparently based on the glorious video game franchise. That said, one fan asked the DOOM devs what they had to say about the film and they immediately distanced themselves from the project.
When asked what their “most honest opinion on the trailer” was, the developers had a very simple statement to relay, ensuring fans that they have no part in the production of the film.
We’re not involved with the movie. https://t.co/Du3wHSHk44

Naturally, fans were quick to call out the shade being thrown by id Software, and everyone was loving it:
You can read their intentions “we’re not involved with this dumpster fire”

Naturally, the lot of us will likely skip the upcoming film and just continue to await the arrival of DOOM Eternal, the next game in the franchise, which looks infinitely more badass than, well… just about anything. We’re simple gamers – we see demons, we hear Mick Gordon, we play DOOM.
DOOM Eternal is set to arrive at some point in 2019 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
