We recently got a chance to see what the upcoming Doom: Annihilation film is all about through the reveal of images, the synopsis, and more. That said, the first trailer has officially arrived, giving fans an even closer look at the inbound movie.

The trailer is super short, but it provides fans an opportunity to see what Doom: Annihilation has to offer. Check it out for yourself below:

Still unsure what to expect in the upcoming direct-to-video adaptation of one of the most popular video games to exist? According to the synopsis, “DOOM: ANNIHILATION follows a group of space marines as they respond to a distress call from a base on a Martian moon, only to discover it’s been overrun by demonic creatures who threaten to create Hell on Earth.”

The “space marines” the synopsis refers to, of course, are the UAC marines from the popular video game franchise. Outside of that and the trailer above, not much is known other than the fact that we’re going to need a BFG to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

Doom Annihilation has no release date as of yet, but it is currently in production at Universal 1440 Entertainment. The film was written and directed by Tony Giglio and it stars Amy Manson, Dominic Mafham, Luke Allen-Gale, and Nina Bergman. Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and John Wells are executive producing with other producers, including Jeffery Beach, Phillip Roth, and Ogden Gavanski.
