Dead by Daylight Is Coming to Nintendo Switch

Behaviour Interactive’s asymmetrical kill-fest Dead by Daylight has been a popular survival title for fans of the slasher genre, providing the game on a myriad of available platforms. However, one system that’s been so far excluded from the pulse-pounding fun is the Nintendo Switch, an understanding notion considering Big N’s reputation for family friendly titles.

Following today’s Nintendo Direct presentation, it appears the company is now letting the violence fly, confirming Dead by Daylight’s arrival on the Switch. The surprise reveal was made alongside a look at the port’s gameplay, which more or less looks like what one would expect from the game. The showcase further confirmed the new edition will come packed with loads of content such as Killers, Survivors, Maps, Chapters and Cosmetics. Check out the reveal below.

Now that Dead by Daylight is confirmed for the Switch, Nintendo users will likely have no trouble preparing themselves for survival/murdering ahead of them. The game’s partnership with Nintendo and publisher Koch Media was addressed on by Behavior Senior Vice-President Stephen Mulrooney, who professed this portable “milestone” was fulfillment of a “personal dream.”

Bringing Dead by Daylight to the Nintendo Switch is yet another milestone in the game’s history and a personal dream of mine. Very soon, players will be able to bring their game along and continue serving the Entity on the bus, at work or at home. We are thrilled to be teaming up with Koch Media for the first time. I believe this is the beginning of a very fruitful partnership.”

Dead by Daylight is set to release for Nintendo Switch in Fall 2019. The game is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
