The Sims 4 Adding New First-Person Mode, Gamers Immediately Get Weird

Things in The Sims are about to get a lot more intense because the team behind the wildly addictive simulator game revealed that the title across the board will be getting a first-person camera mode with the latest patch.

This feature may seem like a long time coming, when in actuality – it spawned from a joke! During a Maxis Monthly livestream showing off what’s new in the world of The Sims 4, the developers revealed that pressing Shift + Tab will swap out that third-person vantage for a first-person one. This makes the simulator game much more realistic, allowing players to few the world of discombobulated words through the eyes of their toon.

Naturally, because this is the gaming community, many Simmers are looking to get their Woo Hoo on with the new camera option, making an already weird gaming experience infinitely more weird. Welcome to the Internet.

Oh EA you sweet summer child

“Oh you sweet, Summer child.” The corresponding Reddit and Twitter all are down to get their freak on toon-style. Still, it’s an awesome addition to the Get Famous pack coming soon. According to EA, “One of the most exciting parts of this expansion pack is the new world! Say “hello” to Del Sol Valley, which is home to A-listers, up-and-comers, and everyone in between. The residential area is split into two parts: Mirage Park in the flatlands with modestly-priced homes, and The Pinnacles, high in the hills and fit for the rich and famous.”

They added, “Plus, your Sims can explore the park, nightclub, and other awesome venues. But if you think any and every Sim can get into these places, think again. Sims might not be on the list for some destinations. But there’s always a chance they can convince a bouncer to let them in. If not, cheer up. The more famous they become, the easier it will be to slide into the most exclusive parties.”

The new expansion comes out on November 16, 2018 on PC, but the first-person camera mode will be available for all on November 13th. Are you ready for what’s next in The Sims-verse?
