Watch The Witcher’s Geralt Hunt A Griffin In Samurai Jack Fashion (VIDEO)
Appropriately dubbed Samurai Witcher, a team of creative individuals produced an animated short that features none other than the Witcher‘s Geralt of Rivia. The folks over at Mashed wanted to feature Genndy Tartakovsky’s animation style with a renown video game series and see how that would fare. Suffice to say, the combination of both worlds is full of action, and one that will have you staring in fascination. In this case, Geralt is on the hunt for a ferocious griffin and it won’t go down without a hearty fight. Check it out below:
Believe it or not, Samurai Witcher was created by a modest team of six individuals with a vision. They did a phenomenal job at recreating the style of Samurai Jack for The Witcher; it’s a match made in heaven. From the stylized frames of slices, bites, and swipes – it certainly takes Geralt’s swordsmanship to another level. The moderately paced build-up leads to the detriment of the mighty griffin foe as Geralt is seen coating his silver sword in green blade oil.
In past creations, Mashed has produced an Overwatch “Mega Dorito Battle” and other parodies of series such as Crash Bandicoot, Fortnite, Legend of Zelda, and others. They stick closely to video game titles and other related franchises. They even made a hilarious and highly suggestive comedy between Prince Sidon and Link.
