Detroit: Become Human May Release Date Officially Confirmed
Detroit: Become Human is the next video game child of Quantic Dream, following rave reviews for Beyond: Two Souls, which was released in 2013 and their short film Kara (2012). In their latest feature, players will control the actions and lives of three different androids. In a dystopian, yet highly advanced future, these androids built to serve humans begin to feel emotions and they must figure out what to do with this alleged malfunction in their program or…go forth and find who they are as individuals.
This highly-anticipated title from French developer, Quantic Dream, is a neo-noire adventure that will take you on a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. Now finally, Detroit: Become Human has a release date. The PlayStation 4 exclusive will come to the console on May 25th, 2018, roughly two to three months away.

Players will take on the role of Connor, a prototype created to help human investigators solve android specific cases. Markus takes the future of androids into his own hands and looks forward as the leader of an revolution, while Kara is a housekeeping android who becomes a fugitive in her attempts to save a young girl. Every detail and move counts toward each android’s self discovery and dependent on your choices are several possible endings – the good, the bad, and everything in-between. In fact, “entire scenes” can be missed from just one choice. It’s all about possibility.
Writer and director for Quantic Dream, David Cage, states that the game “may be seen as controversial” due to the fact that it examines various sensitive topics that “resonate with today’s world”. The point of the matter is – they want to open up a dialogue in the real world, and their video game is exactly how the studio hopes to do so.
Detroit: Become Human is set for release on May 25th, 2018 as a PS4-exclusive. What do you think of the game’s entire premise? Have you been waiting for it with anticipation as much as we have?
