Potential Red Dead Redemption II Release Date Leaked By Another Retailer

Redemption II Release

Red Dead Redemption II is arguably one of the most hotly anticipated titles slated to arrive this year. Following the beloved previous game’s success and the polished look of the upcoming follow-up, it isn’t difficult to see how fans could want to get back in the saddle again. Though the next Old West experience by Rockstar Games is supposed to arrive sometime within 2018, a smaller Red Dead Redemption II release window has yet to be officially given.

That hasn’t stopped unofficial sources from providing their own semi-credible release dates in the meantime. The latest supposed leak via Amazon Mexico states that the open world game could mosey over to stores on July 12th, 2018, a little less than six months away. If true, this imminent Red Dead Redemption II release would be positioned quite comfortably following this year’s E3 2018, and could even lend credence to recent major announcement rumors.

While it’s within the realm of possibility that retailer Amazon Mexico jumped the gun and revealed the date early, there also seems to be a major factor against this idea. The leaked day of July 12th takes place on a Thursday, an unusual time of the week to release a big name title. AAA games such as these usually launch on Tuesdays, as was the case for the first Red Dead Redemption and even Red Dead Revolver in 2004.

Not to mention, this new potential release date is at odds with a previous Red Dead Redemption II rumor, which placed it at more than a month earlier. Whether both, one, or none end up being true, we’ll likely know sooner or later as Red Dead Redemption II is supposed to release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Spring 2018.

What do you think? Do you think we’re getting a new Red Dead in July, or should Rockstar just tell us the flippin’ release date already? Let us know in the comments and be sure to follow Don’t Feed the Gamers on Twitter to be informed of the latest gaming and entertainment news 24 hours a day!
