Blizzard World Is Overwatch’s Latest Map Coming Next Year (VIDEO)
Coming soon to Overwatch, Blizzard revealed a brand new map heading to Overwatch dubbed…Blizzard World? That’s right, created around the aesthetic of a theme park that touches on worlds from every Blizzard franchise. Though it takes place as a map in the FPS (first person shooter) game, titles like Hearthstone and Starcraft make not-so-subtle cameos throughout this upcoming map. Check out the introductory trailer for it below:
It certainly looks a lot like a world renown them park, don’t you think? Blizzard World is a new hybrid map arriving sometime next year as a payload objective and part assault much like Numbani, Hollywood, King’s Row, and Eichenwalde. Unfortunately, it’s all digital. A real life Blizzard theme park isn’t happening, but it would sure make the wildest dreams come true to see actors personifying lore characters and zipping around to say hi to fans. Think about the fun rides and rollercoasters that could be designed?
A release date has not been revealed yet, but more news will be coming soon as the conference continues throughout the weekend. Jeff Kaplan did mention it coming next year to players however.
