Long Live The King – Marvel Releases Second Black Panther Trailer (VIDEO)
While Marvel’s TV and X-Men divisions have been taking the spotlight as of late, it was only a matter of time before a main-series movie dropped a new trailer. With Thor: Ragnarok entering theaters in just a short time, the MCU’s next adventure, Black Panther, will now take the marketing lead. The film’s first teaser offered a peek into the African hero’s life as ruler of the futuristic nation of Wakanda, but the second Black Panther trailer takes the excitement to a whole new level.
The brand new footage, which you can view below, showcases an extended look at the secret, tech-savvy world of Wakanda, as well as new scenes of King T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) in an updated Black Panther costume. We also get another look at the villain Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan), a vengeful mercenary with a grudge against the Wakandan royal family. Not to be outdone, Killmonger also sports a nifty new Panther suit of his own. We’ll see which cat reigns supreme when Black Panther hits theaters on February 16, 2018.
Black Panther will mark the superhero’s first stand-alone film, and second appearance following his debut in Captain America: Civil War. The character has already been confirmed to appear in next year’s Avengers: Infinity War when the galaxy’s mightiest heroes will finally bring the fight to Thanos.
