Jurassic World Evolution Announced for PC, PS4, and Xbox One (VIDEO)

Jurassic World Evolution

Ever since Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park debuted back in 1993, many have wanted to own their own dinosaur park. That is, of course, if the prehistoric animals still existed and without the possibility of everything going wrong. Thankfully, these dreams can become a reality through the power of video games. Many titles have been released over the years by a number of publishers, spanning across several formats. However, it looks as if a new contender is around the corner, as Jurassic World Evolution has just been revealed.

Announced during Microsoft’s pre-show event at Gamescom, Jurassic World Evolution will be released on the Xbox One, PC, and PS4. No specific date was given as to when it will arrive, but it will be sometime during Summer 2018. A trailer for the upcoming title can be seen below, but first, here’s what Frontier Developments’ Jonny Watts had to say about the game:

As long-time fans of the entire Jurassic series we’re thrilled to be putting players in charge of their own Jurassic World. We’re excited to bring over fifteen years of management, simulation, and creature development expertise to a destination and franchise that remains an inspiration to us.

Players will build their own Jurassic World as they bioengineer new dinosaur breeds and construct attractions, containment and research facilities. Every choice leads to a different path and spectacular challenges arise when ‘life finds a way.”

Not much is given in the video. At least, not in terms of story, gameplay, or what the game is even about. However, it will be a “manage your own park” type of deal(everything fans have always wanted to do). Essentially, gamers will create their own Jurassic Park and see exactly how they can screw everything up. Dinosaurs can not only be seen smashing through walls and attacking other animals, but they also attack the humans that are there to keep everything in check. Needless to say, it doesn’t look like they are doing a very good job of it. Stay tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other glorious gaming news, check out the following:
