Cyber Nightmares Abound – Transference Trailer Launches at E3 (VIDEO)
With the rising popularity of virtual reality gaming, it goes without saying that a terrifying story to match the immersive gameplay would be well on its way to creation. However, instead of a standard horror story, why not try looking into options a little more.. tech-y. With the reveal of E3 2017’s latest and greatest, another trailer for a VR title has us wondering just how possible it is for a cybernetic hell to take over a human being’s mind? Transference, a trailer featuring some well known faces, including actor Elijah Wood, does just that, and can we say the possibility looks scarier than any horror story, yet? Check out the trailer below:
Utilizing plenty of visual tricks and a seemingly calming atmosphere, the trailer starts off simple enough, with the actors on screen talking about the scientific side of the possibilities of transferring the human mind into the digital world. Then, as the trailer progresses, things become more and more ominous with digital flares, static, and haunting music before viewers see three players strapped into chairs to undergo God only knows what kind of procedure in the name of science. It certainly looks like whoever will be playing this title will have a hell of a story to work through. For gamers looking for a thrilling and thought provoking game, this may just be up your alley, so get those pre-orders in as soon as possible!
