Latest Cities: Skylines Mass Transit Expansion Trailer Reveals Release Date (VIDEO)
Fans of Cities: Skylines will never catch a break! Just when a player thinks they can give up the game for a while, a new expansion comes out just in time before the binge stops. Regardless, for fans of open sandbox worlds or this franchise in general, the latest Mass Transit expansion may be the best way to start up again! The initial announcement of its arrival began in February when Paradox Interactive revealed the nearly finished project, but a launch date had yet been decided. Almost two months later, the news is finally here and it’s coming out May 18th, 2017. Check out the video below for an in-depth peek at what the DLC could look like:
Anything that can be thought of as a form of mass transportation is there – from blimps to gondola lifts, trains, cable cars, and cruise ships. According to the official Paradox Interactive website, adding the Mass Transit expansion will increase the wealth to the city and allowing convenient travel options for the people! The features include – “become a roads scholar, new hats for chirper, orderly hub bub, and sick transit, glorious money”.
Mass Transit is the latest expansion for Cities: Skylines, the award-winning city-building game, and it brings several new systems into play to help citizens traverse their towns in speed and style. Commuters can now get around on the water, up high mountain peaks, and even through the sky thanks to the addition of ferries, monorails, cable cars, and blimps to the game. Along with new transit service buildings, mass transit hubs where lines can exchange passengers, new scenarios, new landmarks, and new road types, urban planners now have more options than ever to add unique style and personality to their growing cities.
Of course, with all this fun comes some new challenges as well. Not only do players have to solve traffic problems of each additional system, it is crucial to understand how the different types interact with the traffic.
