Vampire: The Masquerade Battle Royale Revealed, Release Set For 2021 (VIDEO)
Just when it seemed that the battle royale genre was beginning to level out in terms of popularity and number of games being made, another comes along to shake things up. Such is the case for Sharkmob as the studio has now revealed a battle royale title set in the Vampire: The Masquerade universe.
The announcement for the new battle royale game arrived in the form of a short teaser trailer form Sharkmob (via PCGamesN). In the footage, we see what appears to be a vampire warrior hacking, slashing, and shooting her way through several other vampires. “Experience the next thrilling evolution of Battle Royale multiplayer action games set in the cult classic Vampire: The Masquerade universe where vampire sects are at war across the streets and rooftops of Prague,” reads the description. “Choose your playstyle, go solo or together, battling rivals and the hostile Entity who’s hellbent on exterminating all vampires. Use your supernatural powers, weapons and blood to become stronger in order to hunt, fight and survive the night.”
The Vampire: The Masquerade battle royale game is being developed by Sharkmob as their first major title. The studio itself was founded back in 2017 by former devs from Massive Entertainment and IO Interactive. The unnamed battle royale game is one of three projects the studio is working on.
Release for the recently revealed battle royale title is slated for the second half of 2021, which is also when Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is expected to arrive.
