Rainbow Six Siege Seemingly Teased For Xbox Game Pass (UPDATED)
UPDATE: The social media tease was true and Microsoft has now confirmed Rainbow Six Siege is coming to Xbox Game Pass this week.
ORIGINAL:
Quite a few titles have joined Xbox Game Pass since first launching in 2017, but Microsoft’s game subscription service has been adding quite a bit more as the Xbox Series X closer to release. In the last month alone, ten games have joined the platform’s impressive library across Xbox One, PC, and xCloud, with even more on the way – especially with the likes of Bethesda under the Microsoft umbrella. It now looks like the next title headed to Game Pass has seemingly been revealed in the form of tactical online shooter Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.
In a new image on Twitter, Microsoft appeared to indicate Rainbow Six Siege will soon be on the way to Xbox Game Pass. As pointed out by VG247, the image depicts the Ubisoft title in a very literal sense, featuring a series of six rainbows stacked on top of each other as well as a group of soldiers laying siege to a castle. The photo isn’t accompanied by any sort of message or follow-up post, so there isn’t much in terms of official confirmation. However, as the Xbox Game Pass account is usually packed with these types of humorous posts, it’s possible that a certain Siege of Six Rainbows might be upon us soon.

This past summer has been a pretty notable one for Rainbow Six Siege as the online shooter saw two big Operations arrive in the form of Steel Wave as well as Shadow Legacy, the latter featuring the return of Splinter Cell’s Sam Fisher. However, now that Autumn is upon us, the game also looks to have quite a bit ahead of it before the end of the year. Not only is a new Operation scheduled to happen before 2020 is done, but the arrival of next-gen consoles will also see the release of a spiffy 4K / 120 FPS upgrade. With this timing in mind, Rainbow Six Siege on Xbox Game Pass might be an even stronger possibility, but we’ll have to wait for confirmation until then.
