Command And Conquer Remastered First Gameplay Teaser Revealed (VIDEO)
Nearly a year in the making, Petroglyph and Lemon Sky Studios have been developing the remastered version of Command and Conquer, a classic real-time-strategy game from 1995. From the pixelated experience from the 90s to the polished 2D experience it is now. Granting fans a first look at gameplay, Petroglyph reveals a brand new teaser to show Command and Conquer’s transformation. Check it out:
Command and Conquer Remastered will maintain its 2D charm as the original game from 1995 with the exception of enhanced visuals and gameplay. As one of the most common questions in regard to the remastered version of the RTS, Petrogylph told the anxiously waiting community:
As you may remember from one of the first posts, our plan is to remaster (not remake) the classic games. Creatively, this means our guiding light has always been to remain authentic to the original feel, and we’re constantly on the lookout for ways to achieve that goal. When we recovered the source code to C&C Tiberian Dawn and C&C Red Alert, this gave us a viable avenue to accurately match the core gameplay, feel, and signature look of the legacy titles. We felt the 2D style was the best way to bring all these elements together, and ultimately achieve the authenticity we were looking for.”
For the old-school fans, this release will feature real-time switching of graphics. Players can toggle between the original 320 by 200 to 3840 by 2160. “Along with the real-time toggling,” said Petrogylyph. “You’ll have the ability to zoom the camera to take in all the high definition detail, with an effective zoom distance between the DOS and C&C Gold camera heights.”
