The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Trailer ‘Demade’ By Fan (VIDEO)
Earlier this year Nintendo released a first look at the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. Not only did the trailer confirm fan suspicions that a sequel was on the way, but it also revealed that the game may be taking on a fairly dark tone, filled with mystery and intrigue. While the game won’t be made for the Nintendo 64, fans have stepped up to bring a ‘demade’ trailer in the same style as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask, which also featured some dark and creepy tones.
Modder and animator The Regressor broke down the Breath of the Wild 2 first look trailer and reconstructed it from scratch with audio from Vince94. It’s a real throwback to the era of Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask, and it would be wonderful to see as a full game. Check it out below:
The trailer might looked flawed to some fans, though The Regressor states that it should. He explains that he didn’t want to just replicate the visuals of Ocarina of Time or Majora’s Mask but create something similar that invokes the memories of a Golden Age in the Legend of Zelda franchise.
The quality is supposed to be ‘bad’: if it looks like a flaw or error, it was likely 100 per cent intentional and either left in or put in on purpose. My goal was not to replicate Ocarina or Majora’s Mask visuals exactly or be 100 per cent technically accurate to N64/DD capabilities or specifications; only ‘similar’ with artistic liberties.”
Though The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is officially in development but has yet to receive any kind of release date. In the meantime, players can get their hands on the incredible remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and relive the amazing quest across a mysterious island to waken the great Wind Fish.
