Latest Gwent Expansion Journeys To Novigrad (VIDEO)
Whether you’re looking forward to CD Projekt Red’s futuristic title Cyberpunk 2077, the Netflix production of The Witcher, or replaying said video game series, the studio had other updates just over the horizon. For those looking for a strategic card-game as a past-time, the developers just revealed a brand new expansion coming to Gwent called Novigrad. Novigrad is a port city that resides in Redania, full of life with tradesmen aplenty, and a diverse demographic of locals.
However, “crime lords” regularly compete for power and dominion within the free city. To face the threat of the underworld head on, a new faction is born – The Syndicate. Check out the expansion trailer below:
Gwent’s Novigrad expansion is available now for pre-order before it’s launch on June 28, 2019. It features a brand new faction called The Syndicate, 5 new leaders with unique abilities, “new ways to play,” and more than 90 new cards to collect. There are currently two different pre-order packs available for purchase – the Eternal Fire Premium Cardback and the Spectral Fire Premium Cardback for $19.99 and $39.99 respectively. For more information on that, check them out here. The short synopsis on the story is as follows:
Welcome to Novigrad! Don’t be fooled by the city’s beauty and wealth — it’s rotten to the core. Crime lords are vying for control of the streets using any means at their disposal. Yet strange events are becoming more commonplace. Once rival gangs are now being seen working together. The chaos is evolving, but why? And more importantly, into what?
